Drum-Phi is the family within the drumline that was founded in 1986. During its earlier stages, the sole purpose of the organization was to establish unity within the drum section. However, over the years that existence has since evolved into improving members not only as percussionists, but as stronger individuals, and to maintain the highest levels of discipline, respect, and leadership within the section. HJHIIJHPBJMIII Drum-Phi is open to all members of the drumline who choose to learn the history of the section and who are willing to dedicate themselves to the craft of percussive excellence. Our family is constantly growing and we will always serve as the heartbeat of the band. We also strive to enhance better community services. The 2005 Annual "Essence of Troy" Open Tryouts Drum-Phi proudly hosted the 2005 Annual Open Tryouts for the "Essence of Troy" dancers which was held on Saturday of April 2nd in Davis Hall. The event was a major success for both parties and we would like to thank everyone who attended. We would also like to give a special thanks to Fonze (who is also a member of Drum-Phi) for holding down the DJ booth. Congratulations to all of the ladies who claimed their spot on the dance squad for next season!
